Stored wood without blue stain
IT INCREASES PROTECTION AGAINST BLUE STAIN FUNGI, so the stored wood retains its beautiful natural colour
IT BONDS WELL TO THE WOOD, so that impregnated components can be transported long distances without fear or waiting for the proper impregnation without the risk of bruising
IT IS EFFECTIVE FOR 6 MONTHS ensuring that wood stacked tightly without spacers will always have its natural look

HOW TO CHECK WHETHER WOOD IS TREATED WITH DEKOSIT WPS?
The presence of DEKOSIT WPS in wood is detected by identifying one of its components, Didecyldimethylammonium chloride, by staining it with a bromophenol blue indicator. When exposed to the indicator, wood containing DEKOSIT WPS turns blue, while wood not containing DEKOSIT WPS turns yellow-green.
MIXING WITH OTHER PRODUCTS
Possible mixing with other products should be consulted with your Dekspol representative.
QUALITY CONTROL OF THE SOLUTION
It is advisable to check the concentration of DEKOSIT WPS solution daily and absolutely after the preparation of working solutions and when refilling the tanks with a new batch of the agent. The check should be carried out using a refractometer.

Stored logs
When spring comes, and higher temperatures together with it, stored wood starts to lose its natural colour – it turns blue. Although blue staining does not reduce the technological value of the wood, it loses its beautiful look and thus its market value decreases significantly.
Wood becomes blue rapidly in spring and summer (temperatures suitable for the development of blue stain) when its moisture content is between 25%-90%. Below approx. 23% moisture content, the wood is protected against the development of blue stain. Similarly, wood with a moisture content of more than 90 per cent is not subject to blue stain – this is why live wood does not become blue. However, sawn wood, having an optimum moisture content for the development of blue stain, will lose its beautiful colour if not properly protected. In order to preserve the natural colour of freshly sawn wood until it is properly impregnated or for shipment to distant destinations, it is advisable to use DEKOSIT WPS.
